Matthew Sinder is a Senior Vice President of Business Development at the Para Group. Based in Jakarta, the Para Group is a leader in financial services, media, lifestyle, retail, and entertainment. Para Group’s companies include Bank Mega, Bandung Supermal, Trans TV and Trans7 – two of Indonesia’s leading TV stations, and Trans Studio Resort, an integrated development in Makassar with Southeast Asia’s largest indoor theme park and Eastern Indonesia’s top retail center. Recently Para Group formed a partnership with Carrefour, a leader in Indonesia’s retail sector.
Matthew has spent 16 of the last 18 years in Southeast Asia. Prior to joining the Para Group, Matthew worked as a strategy and management consultant for McKinsey & Company and also for Booz-Allen Hamilton. In addition, he has experience leading operational development for one of Indonesia’s top consumer finance companies. While Matthew has primarily been based in Indonesia, he has completed projects throughout ASEAN as well as South Korea and Australia.
He took his undergraduate degree at Stanford University, a Master’s of Public Policy at Harvard University, and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. On weekends, his sons’ sports activities keep Matthew quite busy, and he also coaches Little League baseball.
